On January 24th, Network While Black, a platform dedicated to fostering meaningful connections within the Black community, hosted their highly anticipated inaugural event at Dumbo House. Aptly titled “Network With Intention,” the event brought together a diverse group of professionals who were eager to expand their networks and engage in insightful discussions.
The evening kicked off with an exciting game of Network Bingo, where guests had the opportunity to connect with one another through a fun and interactive activity. This icebreaker set the stage for an evening filled with genuine connections and empowering conversations.
The event featured a panel discussion with esteemed industry leaders, including Jessi Jacq, Creative Director of JBW Watches, Yrbenka Arthus, Community Manager at LinkedIn and Co-Founder of Industry Link, and Nana Agyemang, Multimedia Journalist and CEO of EveryStylishGirl and EveryStylishGirlBiz. The panel was expertly moderated by Nyasia Rudolph, a Wardrobe Stylist and the visionary behind Network While Black.
“I wanted to create a safe space for Black women to come in, and network without the added pressure of it all. As an introvert, it’s easy for me to keep to myself at events that’s why I created Network Bingo. I got people out of their seats, and talking! It was such a beautiful night!” – Nyasia Rudolph
Throughout the discussion, the panelists explored the power of networking and emphasized the importance of proximity in building meaningful relationships. Attendees gained valuable insights and practical tips on how to navigate the professional landscape while leveraging their networks effectively.
As a token of appreciation, guests were treated to goodie bags filled with products from Inside Then Out, Healing Gems, and 95 BKLYN – all of which are Black Woman-Owned brands. This gesture not only highlighted the event’s commitment to supporting and uplifting Black-owned businesses but also provided attendees with memorable takeaways. Attendees left the event with new connections, valuable insights, and a renewed sense of purpose in their professional journeys.
With inspiration, empowerment, and community-building at the center of its mission, Networking While Black has set the stage for future events that will undoubtedly continue to empower and uplift the Black community. Follow the brand on Instagram @networkingwhileblack to stay in the know.
